ABOUT US

The word “BASIC” in our name is an acronym which stands for: Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

We are a growing group of disciples from all walks of life and ethnicities, who are seeking to be a living expression of Christ first with our individual lives, secondly in our homes, thirdly in our workplace, and fourthly in the community.

Our primary goals can be summarized as follows:

TO WORSHIP GOD
TO BE LIKE JESUS
TO BE THE CHURCH
TO BE A LIGHT

We do this by yielding our entire being to God for His will and His purposes, sowing to the Spirit, and doing what is right in secret (Romans 12:1, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

We do this by continually growing in humility as we look to Jesus, are filled with the Holy Spirit and claim the promises of God (2 Corinthians 3:18, 2 Peter 1:4)

We do this by living as a local expression of the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27), and committing to love (John 13:35), disciple (Matthew 28:20), and build up one another in the faith (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

We do this by letting the life and light of Jesus shine through our good deeds (Matthew 5:14, Matthew 5:16), and sharing the good news with those around us (Acts 20:21).

What We Believe
WHAT WE BELIEVE
  • That the Bible (66 books) is the inspired and infallible Word of God, the sole and sufficient guide for our life on earth.

  • That there is one God eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • In the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His humanity, His perfectly sinless life, His substitutionary death as an atonement for our sins, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal return to the earth for His saints.

  • That all human beings are dead in sin and utterly lost and that the only way their sins can be forgiven is through repentance and through faith in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • In the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, whereby a person is born again to be a child of God.

  • That justification is by faith in Christ alone, the evidence of this being good works that glorify God.

  • In baptism in water, by immersion, after regeneration, in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

  • In the necessity of being filled with the Holy Spirit continually in order to have power to be witnesses for Christ - by life and by word.

  • In the resurrection of the righteous to eternal life and the resurrection of the unrighteous to eternal damnation.

BASIC Church does not belong to any denomination or governing body. We accept all of our brothers and sisters in Christ and work together with those who share the same vision.
